ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Smart grid is one of the feature of energy, consumption monitoring and management system. Smart grid is based on communication between the provider and consumer. Smart Grid(SG) offers bi-directional energy flow between service providers and consumers, involving power generation, transmission, distribution and utilization system. SG employs various devices for the monitoring, analysis and control of the grid, deployed at power plants, distribution centers and in consumers' premises in a very large number. Hence, Smart Grid requires connectivity, automation and the tracking of such devices. This is achieved with the help of Internet of Things (IoT). Cyber Security refers to the protection of the networks, hardware and software from attacks, damage or unauthorized access and rejection of services. Cyber security is a growing concern and a key success factor for smart grid development.

The need for a comprehensive and holistic understanding has led to the creation of intricate, unique, little pieces that when put together serves its grand purpose. This year we combine perspectives from psychology, sociology and other sister sciences to supplement our case for the heterodoxical understanding of the world and its foundations in Economics. Through the theme we explore the "Transforming Economic Perspectives". We are not remembered for who we are as economists but for what we do and the legacy we leave behind as builders of a sustainable, transformative human experience.
