Date (25th Sep 2019) - C TECHASTRA '19 - Technical Symposium - Rathinam College of Arts & Science


Rathinam College of Arts and Science is a Co-educational Institution was established in year 2001 by the KPM educational Trust, which has 40 years of experience in promoting education in Coimbatore.  The college is Re-accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC and it is also an ISO 9001: 2008 certified institution. The college is ranked among All India Top 150 institutions for three consecutive years by NIRF, Govt. of India. 
Department of Computer Technology was started in 2008 and it has grown excellently in academic and research work. The Department have been organize “C-TechastRa’19” a National level Technical symposium on 25th September 2019(Wednesday) in our college campus. Various Technical and Non-technical events like Deepcoding, Webwar, Paperenza, ProjectShow, GoGoogle, ZAM, etc., will be conducted.

C-TECHASTRA’19- RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR TECHNICAL AND NON-TECHNICAL EVENTS
Deep Coding-(Debugging) - CTR1   (Coding [C, C++, Java])
Programming is not just about what you know it's about what you can do with what you know Code. It is filled with competitive programming challenges made to unleash your coding skills. Code and debug your path to a proper result and ascend to the next level. The power of coding is infinite!
Guidelines:
·         It is an individual event.
·         It will be based on hacker rank or hacker earth platform. The results will be based on logic of code and execution of programs.

Web War (Web Designing)-CTR2
Websites should look good from the inside and out. The participants are expected to build fully functional websites on a given theme. It is an event for the young developers to expose their development skills.
Guidelines:
·         A team can consist of maximum of two participants. Individual Participants are also allowed.
·         Separate Registrations has to be done by both the participants of team.
Round 1:
·         It tests the basic website development skills of the participants.
·         It consists of MCQ in the area of Web Designing, and acts as an eliminating round. Out of all the teams, only top 10 teams move forward to the next round.
·         Questions will be in the area of HTML, SQL.

Round 2:
·         In this round, a theme will be given to the participants. They are expected to build a fully functional website in the stipulated time.
·         They are judged on the basis of functionalities they have provided code security tools used, design parameters.
·         It is preferable to bring their own laptops/our system will be provided only with certain tools.



Paperenza (Paper presentation) -CTR3
Paper presentation is about how you put your topic and present your ideas; the ideas that invoke the best results will be appreciated and awarded.
Guidelines:
·         Participants must register online in the website. Separate Registrations has to be done by all the Team members.
·         After Registration, abstract must be send to C-TEchastrRa’19 Mail-Id rathinamevent@gmail.com with Participants Name and Participant Id. 
·         Include Your Paper name as Subject of the Mail. Mention your team members Name, participant Id, Department, College Name in the Mail.
·         Papers must be submitted in IEEE format. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
·         Abstract in IEEE format should be mailed to rathinamevent@gmail.com on or before 16/09/2019  08.00 PM and the shortlisted candidates will be intimated through mail or phone on or before 20/08/2019.Mention the name of the Authors, Year of study, Department, Mail ID, and Contact Number through mail.
·         Each team will be given 05 minutes to present their paper.
·         Decision of judges will be final.

Project Show (Project Demonstration) -CTR4
Project presentation is a platform to expose your creativity and innovations, best ideas, innovations and way of demonstrations will be appreciated and awarded
Guidelines:
·         project presentation is the platform to expose your innovative ideas and have a chance to Change the world of creativity into reality
·         Each team should consist of a maximum of 2 members per team.
·         Presentation duration should not exceed 7 mins.
·         Separate Registration has to be done by all the team members
·         Registration will be open till September 23th 2019.
·         After registering online, a brief note about the project should be sent to rathinamevent@gmail.com on or before 22/09/2019.
·         Include project topic as subject of the email.
·         Include Participants Name and participant id in the email
·         Shortlisted projects will be intimated through mail or phone on or before 23/09/2019.

Go Google (Google search event)   -CTR5
Unless your name is Google, stop acting like you know everything" and here is a place to evaluate how effectively you use Google.
Guidelines:
·         It is an Individual event.
·         The Participants will be given certain Tasks.
·         Internet Facility will be provided.
·         Participants can use Google for finding answers.
·         Registration is Mandatory.
·        Registration will be open till September 23.
Technofreaks (Technical quiz) -CTR6
Far from classroom rote, this quiz is all about the world of Science and Technology. Get ready for a roller coaster ride into the intense world of techno quizzing.
Guidelines:
·         Based on Innovative ideas/concepts
·         It is an Onstage Event.
·         The team can consist of maximum 4 members.
·         Separate online Registration has to be done by all the team members
·         Registration will be open till September 23.
·         Decision of judges will be final.

Searchoseek(Treasure Hunt) -CTR7
This event is simple format and time-tested team activity still makes one of the most popular team building events today. Teams armed with clues, questions and recording devices set off against the clock to be the first to complete challenges. We add the magic, creativity and theme to make your treasure hunt truly special and unique. You are constrained by imagination alone.
Guidelines:
·         Team event.
·         A team may contain of maximum 4 members
·         Registration is Mandatory.
·         Registration will be open until September 23.
·         Separate Registration has to be done by all the team members
·         Details about the event will be given on the spot.

JAM( Just a Minute) -CTR8
Just-A-Minute (or JAM) is an all round-fun event that is all about the control of the mind over the mouth. Can you make it through sixty seconds of non-stop talking without hesitation, repetition, or deviation? Or will the sheer pressure make you crumble and have your competitors pounce on you in an instant?
Guidelines:
·         Each participant will be given a topic and a preparation time of 30 seconds.
·         A minute will be given to speak over the topic without pause, repetition and hesitation.
A Game Has No Name (Fun Event) -CTR9
"Winning is only half of it, while having fun is the other half", so here is an event to check your spontaneity and enthusiasm.
Guidelines:
·         A team must contain 4 members.
·         The instructions will be given on the spot.



LogoMaker (Build Logo) -CTR10
This event is about to build a logo based on the theme; it’s a way to explore a creativity of the students. Have you ever seen a big brand without a logo? No? That’s because there aren’t any. A logo has a major impact on how customers will perceive brand. So naturally, we want logo to be outstanding.
Guidelines:
An individual event.
Registration is Mandatory.
The theme will be given on the spot.
Use available software in system or bring your own laptops for your convenient
Software tool.
Judgment is based on the creativity, design and clarity of logo.
Time constraints, so complete the design within a given time.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR C-TECHASTRA’19

·         College ID card is Mandatory at the time of reporting.
·         Every participant must register online.
·         Online Registrations will be open till 6.00 PM on 23rd September 2019.
·         Registered participants must report at event venue before 9.00 AM 25th September.
·         Spot registration is available.
·         Participants are expected to follow the time schedule strictly.
·         Registration Fee Rs.100 per head.
·         Food will be provided to all registered participants.
·         There will be no preliminary round if there are less than 10 participants.
·         For items with less than 5 participants, the following rules apply:
·         The participants will be qualified for a prize only if they score more than 50% of the total score.
·         In case no one manages to score more than 50%, only the one with the highest score alone will receive a consolation prize.
·         Any person violating the rules will be disqualified.
·         The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
·         Please enter correct spelling of your Name and College Name, Entered Details only will be printed in the Certificate. No changes will be done.
·         You can register up to 4 Events only.
